I have a background in fine arts/ photography which influences how I utilize angle, color, and texture in visual storytelling. I also have a strong writing/ literature background which provides tools and techniques to breakdown a script. This combination allows me to create a visual language that is unique to each production. I also work with an empathy first approach to design. What is means is that design with the intention of protecting the actors as well as to throughly research the content of the script to present culturally sensitive and authenticity to visual elements. This allows me to not only create worlds that are visually stunning, but they are also culturally relevent.
